Four Things to Ponder....

There are not many things that I really truly dislike.  I've discovered so many things about my body that I don't believe I would ever have known or ever understood had I not experienced pregnancy, labor and being a mother.  Some things I wouldn't miss much if I never knew...

*  The feeling of warm, wet baby-vomit trickling down my chest, only to perfectly 'pond' in my bra.

*  The wet patch in bed where my boobs have leaked - unbeknown to me until I move away, the spot gets cold, I move back and realize what happened in my sleep.

*  It gets me all upset that our bodies are driven by hormones - especially when my hormones are going crazy - which makes me all the more upset that it's my hormones making me upset, and so on and so on.

And lastly for today:

*  The time I lick the cuticle on my thumb - it looks like I've somehow got peanut butter in it from my toast this morning.  Once licked, I think, "Hang on a minute...."

I found this quote that pretty much sums up 'me' right now.  It's from a book, a book which I haven't read but I love the words:

"She wasn't bitter. She was sad, though.
But it was a hopeful kind of sad.
The kind of sad that just takes time. "
- Stephen Chbosky

From the Bible NIV
May the God of hope fill you with
all joy and peace as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope
by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
