Dish Cloth Swap!

Last week, while my husband and I were sitting on the couch, watching tele one evening, he looked across at my crocheting-hands and said with a small chuckle, "You're such a Nana."

To be honest, I took it as a compliment and we both sat there had a little laugh together.

I happened to be crocheting a dish cloth for a certain International Dish Cloth Swap, hosted by Leonie of Kiwi at Heart.

She puts it so perfectly:

"My name is Leonie and I am addicted to making dishcloths.
I have been fighting this addiction for over two years and there seems to be no cure."

I know how she feels.

My swap partner will be recieving these in the mail some time soon.  We're not actually swap-partners though.  The person I send to won't be the person sending to me.  I kinda like that.

I was SO excited about making and sending these that I forgot about the fact that I'll be receiving a couple of dish cloths too.

Today I began to wonder who will be sending some to me...  I wonder when they'll arrive...  I wonder what colour(s) they'll be, if they'll be pale or bright, detailed or simple...
 *stares wistfully into the distance*
I can't wait to receive them and show them off.  Oh, and put them into action, I could do with a couple more dishcloths!

I made the pattern up for the white dishcloth, here's my Saturday night 'work' desk.

xx

  2. I think those are just way too pretty to be used for cleaning dirty dishes! I have some very old, very plain ones made by an aunt, oh, probably 25-30 years ago and I use them as pot holders instead.
