MADE it... {04}
This week I was inspired by Leonie of Kiwi at Heart. She made a few awesomely cute handles for crochet hooks.
I didn't make these the same. Her hook-handles, I must admit, look way cooler. These handles are made with an oven-bake clay called Sculpey. I think it's kind of like FIMO clay.
The clay comes in little packets in a whole range of different colours. I used only a quarter of one of the 3 small packets I bought - I thought I'd need heaps! But, it turns out I didn't really need much at all.
I had to put my initials on one.
I hope you're having a creative week. If you have and if you've blogged about it, why not share a link to your post in the comments below?
Take care, and enjoy the rest of the weekend. I'm off to finish sewing a retro handbag, made from a genuine retro deck chair cover...
xx

Such a clever idea!!!!
ReplyDeletethey look awesome! I love the stripy one. I had thought about trying that too...when the kids are back at school! lol.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteI made one long skinny white thing and wound it around the blue, then rolled it flat.
After it was baked, the white had turned into a 'dirty-see-through-ish' white, it's hard to tell in the photos. I was a bit sad about that, haha.
