If your Dad, or your children's Dad is anything like my Dad or my child's Dad, when you ask them, "What do you want for your *birthday/Father's Day/Christmas/etc*? The response is usually, "Nothing," or "I don't know." Right?
I'd been raking my brains to try and think of what to give him, from our two year old, for Father's Day. Here's what I came up with...
Put together:
a ceramic-writing pen
a ceramic mug
a supervised toddler
The ceramic pen came from Spotlight. You write on ceramic, let it dry, bake it, it's stuck. At the time I bought it, several months ago, it was about $10. I think they're a little more than that now and you they come in a range of colours and finishes (I've tried sharpie/vivid and it didn't stand up to my handwashing).
.
I got the Little Lion to draw a picture on one side, afterwards I wrote a 'Happy Father's Day' note on the back with 'Father's Day 2013' on the bottom.
The instructions say to let it air-dry for 24hrs, then bake at 160C for 40 minutes.
And voila:
And thus begins the 'mugs as gifts' in our family.
xx
Cool! I want to buy one of these. Would you link up to 'we recommend' on weds?
