Handmade gifts - Fingerless gloves

I whipped these fingerless gloves up in about a day or two.  Another 'stash buster' that I so need right now with the impending move overseas.

This wasn't for Christmas!  No way, right?  No, it was a gift for my sister who's birthday is very close to Christmas.  She also got some of those cool dishcloths.

I began with the retro circles pattern and kept 'going' to make it a larger square.  I crocheted up the sides leaving a gap for the thumb, reattached the yarn and crocheted some extra length up the wrist area and tidied up the finger and thumb openings.

Easy, a little tricky, but I think an amateur crocheter could work this one out.
