Atawhenua

Atawhenua means 'shadow land' in Maori.  It's the Maori name for Fiordland.

LJ and I had cabin-fever.  We were sick and tired of being sick and tired (literally, we had colds) but the day was warmer than usual so I decided to go for a wander with my handsome boy down at the shore-line of Lake Te Anau.

I love the moody-grey-ness of these images...

I am going to miss this beautiful place.
