See? So much pretty. To begin, I marked out the strips with chalk. Chalk was my best friend by the end of this entire project, but you probably know that by now. I started at the bottom, center of a strip and worked my way up with leaves on either side of the middle line (also drawn with chalk).
It takes a lot of practice to get smooth lines, and finally by the last few blocks, I was on a roll. I even quilted in script lettering... believe it or not! You'll have to wait until block 23 for that one.
